For Children Who Have Not Played Before
Newington Arena —
300 Alumni Road, Newington, CT
By IPH Hockey
Interested in learning to play hockey? This spring, here’s your chance!
Our 10-week program for boys and girls ages 4-9 will teach you the basics as GottaLoveCTHockey, Newington Arena, corporate sponsor Ortho Ouch Care, and IPH seek to develop new CT youth hockey players!
Ideally participants will have some previous skating ability, but none is required — we will work with brand new skaters to get them out on the ice. This program is designed to provide children of families that have NOT played in the past a chance to learn the game without the expense of buying equipment and paying for introductory instruction.
Initial spaces in this program are reserved for players who have not participated before. If you have participated in this program before and would like to do so again, we invite you to add your name to our Waitling List. If a space becomes available for you in April, you will be contacted.

Ortho Ouch Care:
Pro Ambitions Battle Camp returning to Newington Arena July 17-21. Jeff Serowik, created and trademarked this system of training where skill development takes place in a game situational battle in small area drills. The goal is to develop a player’s skill and hockey IQ through game situational battles . Every drill incorporates a skill, skating and game theory element while engaging in a game situational battle. At the Battle Camp players will go through a battery of drills that all introduce a second puck. After the initial battle is won or lost, the players focus on gap control and go back in for a second battle. This curriculum has created its own niche in the industry. Is now imitated by many. It has been endorsed by the Boston Bruins, and countless NHL players.
Newington Arena will be hosting our homeschoolers skating program twice per month through April 5th. Sessions will be on Wednesdays from 10:30am-11:30am.
